Mating Rules
For starters, JOTW will not permit a character that is younger than two years of age to reach sexual maturity. If your character is 2 years or older, they are able to successfully breed, and females will go into heat on the month that they were born and the 6th month between that year. Once your character has passed the age of 9 years, they will be considered infertile and be unable to breed.
For players to have a litter, both the mother and father should have at least 50 posts made and the breeding thread along with it and must be included with the litter submission form. Your litter may not exceed the number of 5 and must have a minimum of 2 babies born.
Couples belonging to a faction or pack having a litter are highly recommended to check with their higher ranks before breeding.
Males are allowed to have up to four litters each year while females may only have 1 litter per year. If you wish to exceed this limitation, perhcase a Season Breeding Pass in the Gem Store.
If either parent of the litter has a rare trait that can be purchased in the gem-store, the item is 25% discounted for the pup’s player. If both parents have this trait then the item is 50% discounted from the store. These traits include extra height, markings, abnormal color etc.
Once you are have your post counts and have made a breeding thread, you are capable of creating a Litter Request thread. Pups not adopted by players by the birth date
are considered stillborn.
